We are a two-form entry local community Primary School situated in the heart of Lambeth, where all children work hard every day to use our Elm Wood Promises to guide their behaviour and actions. Our staff ensure that our values, through our promises, are at the heart of our interactions and relationships with our entire school community. We share our federation's ethos and regard ourselves as being a curious, confident and creative community who are inclusive, visionary and collaborative.

I am really proud to be Headteacher at Elm Wood Primary School and to work with a dedicated team to provide the best education and life skills for the children in our care.

At Elm Wood Primary School, education is about developing the whole child and providing opportunities for them to flourish within and beyond the classroom. It is the aim of the whole school team to help children to become successful learners and well-rounded individuals who are ready to take on the next step in their life journey. Inclusion is at the heart of our school and this means that we strive to remove barriers to enable all learners to be successful each and every day.

We place great emphasis on our children’s emotional well-being and are constantly ensuring that our broad and balanced curriculum and practice reflects this. We are always in the pursuit of excellence so that we secure the very highest outcomes for all our pupils. We do this by providing rich, child-centered learning environments along with exciting and ambitious learning opportunities, which enable our children to flourish, excel and achieve excellent learning outcomes.

As the leader of Elm Wood, my job is to make sure that all children in the Elm Wood family are safe, happy and that they are reaching their full potential. Families make an important contribution to their child’s achievements at school and from my experience, I know that a successful and happy school depends on us all working together as one team, one Elm Wood Family.
